(7) Our next step is to add a rim around the top of the pool. Add another
layer, calling it "pool rim", and set your foreground palette to a metallic
linear gradient (I used the "blue metallic", but you can use any metallic
gradient...including a basic black/white metallic, which you can later
"colourize" to compliment your pool liner"), and "NO" background palette colour
at all! (Set it to "Null")
|
(8) Go to the "preset shapes tool" and using the "elipse image" draw a filled
ring...starting at point 38 pixels wide X79 pixels high, and extending right
to...408 width...following the outline of the edge of your pool liner.
HINT: You may have to play a bit with the mover tool to align it properly
afterwards.
|
|
(9) Now go to the inner bevel tool...at image/effects/3D effects/inner
bevel...and using the settings below...add a slightly shiny bevel to your rim.
|
(10) You can play with these settings a bit, if you like, but don't make them
too shiny. *smile*
Then add a complimentary drop shadow to your rim using a deep, dark colour from
you pool...I used R=24, G=31, B=72, wtih settings....vertical=2, horizontal =0,
opacity 80, blur=4.
See image below for my example.
