(1) Open a new transparent image 450 pixels wide X 300 pixels high. Name this
layer "background", and then add a new raster layer, named "pool liner".

(2) Go to the "preset shapes tool" and using the "cylinder" image, (retain
style, and antialias checked)...draw a pool shape....starting at point 38
pixels wide X 79 pixels high, and extending right to...406 pixels wide,
and...down to 255 pixels high.

You'll get an image that looks like the one below. (Or, a reasonable
facsimile) *grin*

(3) Now go to colours/colourize and pick one you like. (I chose hue value 162
and saturation 162). Pick any colour you like, but keep the saturation value
in the 160+ range.
If you chose the same colour I did, you'll get an image that is similar to the
one below. I will be using this for the rest of the tutorial.
