Welcome to animations 4 and another Eclectic Guild contest entry.

This time we were given a very "bare" image of a keyhole. The graphic was kinda choppy and needed a lot of "cleaning up" before it could be used. 'Twas a very good exercise in getting rid of clip-art "jaggies". *grin*

Once cleaned, I applied Janina's, (now known as "Bejewelled), jan_crinkledgold.q9q Blade Pro preset to the oval surrounding the keyhole. Using complimentary colours I made 2 screws with a variation of "Web Graphics on a Budget", (please see links page), tutorial for recessed buttons and screws. The keyhole was selected and saved to the alpha channel and filled with black.

For the image through the keyhole I chose an unframed copy of my "Merlin's Lair". The rest was a matter of 18 frames with varying amounts of this image being exposed from within the black keyhole.

Shown below is the "Doorway to Merlin's Lair".

Doorway to Merlin's Lair

The transition's a bit choppier on upload than it was in animation shop, but another learning experience has been had.
Hope you enjoyed! *smile*

prize

Maybe I'm on a bit of a winning streak... *smile*

"Doorway to Merlin's Lair" also won 3rd prize at The Eclectic Guild's 2nd contest.

Thanks to all those who voted for my animation!
