Welcome to animations 4 and another Eclectic Guild contest entry.
This time we were given a very "bare" image of a keyhole. The graphic was kinda choppy and needed a lot of "cleaning up" before it could be used. 'Twas a very good exercise in getting rid of clip-art "jaggies". *grin* Once cleaned, I applied Janina's, (now known as "Bejewelled), jan_crinkledgold.q9q Blade Pro preset to the oval surrounding the keyhole. Using complimentary colours I made 2 screws with a variation of "Web Graphics on a Budget", (please see links page), tutorial for recessed buttons and screws. The keyhole was selected and saved to the alpha channel and filled with black. For the image through the keyhole I chose an unframed copy of my "Merlin's Lair". The rest was a matter of 18 frames with varying amounts of this image being exposed from within the black keyhole. Shown below is the "Doorway to Merlin's Lair". |

The transition's a bit choppier on upload than it was in animation shop, but another learning experience has been had.
Hope you enjoyed! *smile* |
Maybe I'm on a bit of a winning streak... *smile* "Doorway to Merlin's Lair" also won 3rd prize at The Eclectic Guild's 2nd contest. Thanks to all those who voted for my animation! |
