Bare...Bear Header

This tutorial is for users of PSP 7.04, or better. It is for those graphic artistists that are "confident" in their ability to "draw". There will be a table for "download" purposes for 4 different coloured bears in "PSP format"...in "layers" for the body parts. There will not be any ".sel" files, nor "vector instructions". I am recommending the use of a "graphics tablet", such as those provided by "Wacom" for this purpose. They are relatively inexpensive...and worth their weight in "gold"...in my opinion, to the serious graphics artist! Those artists that are confident in their abilities to negotiate a "mouse" for such purposes are welcome to try.

The original pattern and tutorial for making the bears comes from "Crystal Caverns". I, however, chose to use a fur texture for most of the body parts on my bears. Please see her site, if you would like to make "your bears" from "scratch"!

The images in the table below are 50% of their actual size. Click on any one of them to download the "Paint Shop Pro" file in "layers" at 100% for that particular bear, and save to wherever you would like to on your own hardrive.

Now that you've selected and downloaded your bare...bear(s), you've gotta decide how you want to dress it/them. The first choice is the easiest...will it be a boy or a girl? *smile*

Once you've decided on the gender, then it would be a good idea to have another image to refer to as to how your bear will be dressed. I have a "Teddy Bear's Calendar" from 2001 that I used for inspiration for many of my bears that I have made snowglobes from, but a nice piece of clip-art will do just as well.

As an example for you...I am including a copy of the original bear that I made and used for one of my Easter globes. It is the .jpeg below, at 100%.

Easter Lady Bear

The flowers and the Easter basket are tubes, as is the hat, (I just changed the ribbon on it). These were added to my bear once I got her dressed! *smile* Everything else, however, is drawn completely from scratch!
